What are the costs involved just to get set up?

There are two main costs to be aware of, and neither goes to us. First, you'll need to fund your MetaMask wallet with a small amount of POL (Polygon's cryptocurrency) to pay for "gas fees." These are tiny transaction fees paid to the network validators, not to SALVAnft. It's like paying a minuscule postage stamp fee to send a letter. Second, when you buy your first NFT, you'll pay the seller's price. We believe in transparency, so there are no hidden sign-ups or monthly fees.
